Brutechild
Brutechild is one person in Texas making three small apps. One for the morning. One for the middle of the day. One for the night. They aren’t a system. You don’t have to use all three. They were built one at a time, because I needed each one.
The apps
Waking Words
For the morning.
A bare editor for the kind of writing nobody else needs to read. Empty your head before you take the day with you. On iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
wakingwords.app →Mantra Mirror
For the middle of the day.
Say your affirmations out loud while looking yourself in the eye. The discomfort is what’s working.
mantramirror.app →Gratitude Guide
For the night.
Three things at the end of the day, and the question that matters: why was that important to you?
gratitudeguide.app →What Brutechild is and isn’t
The best apps know when to step aside. These ones are built to become quiet habits, not dependencies. There are no accounts to sign up for, no feeds to scroll, no streaks designed to make you anxious. Open one. Use it. Close it. Come back tomorrow if it helped.
No ads. Brutechild sells apps to you and doesn’t collect the kind of data that could be sold to anyone else. What you write stays on your device and in your iCloud. A small amount of anonymous diagnostic data helps fix things when they break. That’s the entire arrangement.
Who makes them
One person. In Texas. With animals.
I built these apps because I wanted them. I keep building them because other people use them now too. I write short stories, essays, and other things at itstoffer.com.
